a. Check the spline of the steering gear pitman shaft if
there is any torsion or damage.

b. Check the spline of the steering gear pitman arm if

there is any deformation and serious abrasive wear.
c. Check the steering gear pitman arm if there is any FR
deformation and crack.

10. Installing the steering gear pitman arm BW

a. Apply lubricating grease on the steering gear pitman
arm and pitman shaft spline teeth. EL

b. Install the steering gear pitman arm onto the steering
gear pitman shaft.
Caution

Make sure to assemble the parts with aligning the marks.

c. Mount and tighten the fixing nut on the steering gear
pitman arm.
Torque: 315~385N•m
