ST-52 Steering System- Power Steering

Power Steering Pump

Change

1. Discharge the steering oil (refer “Chapter BW steering system-power steering-steering oil, replacement”)
2. Remove the engine ECU with bracket assembly, put it in place where it does not interfere
disassembly of the power steering pump

3. Removing the power steering pump assembly

a. Remove the ring clamp from the oil suction hose for
the power steering pump, disconnect the oil suction hose.
b. Remove the locking nut from the power steering pump
high pressure hose; disconnect the high pressure hose
from the oil pump.

c. Remove the power steering pump fixing bolts.
d. Pull out the power steering pump assembly from the
air compressor.

4. Installing the power steering pump assembly

a. Install the power steering pump assembly onto the air
compressor.

Caution
During installation, use the boss on the power steering
pump shaft to align with the groove on the air
compressor shaft.

b. Mount and tighten the fixing bolts for the power
steering pump.

c. Link the oil suction hose of the power steering pump,
and install the ring clamp on the oil pump oil suction hose.

d. Link the high pressure hose of the power steering
pump, and tighten the oil tube locking nuts.
Torque: 120~150N•m
