ST-54 Steering System- Power Steering

Steering Fluid Tank

Change

1. Discharge the steering oil (refer “Chapter BW steering system-power steering-steering oil, replacement”)

2. Removing the steering fluid tank

a. Dismount the straps of inlet and outlet oil hoses of
steering oil tank and take off the hoses from the tank.
Caution

• When pulling out the oil pipe, makr
the corresponding oil pipe and interface to
prevent mistake during installation.
• Seal the pulled out oil pipe and joint with a bonnet
to prevent the foreign body from getting into
the steering system.

b. Untighten the fixing bolts of the steering fluid tank
bracket clamp, and Remove the steering fluid tank
assembly.

3. Installing the steering fluid tank

a. Install the steering fluid tank assembly into the bracket
clamp. Tighten the clamp locking bolts.

b. Install the inlet and outlet hoses onto the steering fluid
tank as indicated by the marks. Mount and tighten the
ring clamps on the hoses.

4. Fill in steering oil (refer to Chapter BW steering system-dynamic steering-steering oil, replacement”)
