BR-66 Brake system – service brake (air pressure)

e. Place the front brake shoe assembly on the friction disc
rivet punching machine.

f. Move the front brake shoe assembly to allow the rivet
head part to be aligned with the cutting head of the
punching machine and operate the punching machine to
tighten the friction disc's fixing rivet.

g. Move the front brake shoe assembly to an appropriate
location and tighten the other fixing rivets of the friction
disc.

h. Place the brake shoe lining on the brake shoe shaft's
pin holes.

i. Punch the lining into the holes using the lining punch.

j. Place the return spring fixing pins in the front brake
shoe assembly's fixing pin holes.
k. Punch out the return spring fixing pins to the front
brake shoe assembly's installation position.

l. Put the brake shoe roller in place.
