BR-62 Brake system – service brake (air pressure)

e. Remove the brake shoe return spring using the return
spring removal and installation vice.

f. Remove the upper and lower brake shoe assembly.

3. Check and/or repair of brake shoe assembly
a. Check the actual thickness of the brake shoe's friction
disc. If it is beyond the specified limit, change the disc.
Limits: front, 8mm; rear, 6mm.

b. Check whether the friction disc is loose. If so, refix the
friction disc.

c. Check whether the outside diameter of the brake shoe's
roller is beyond the specified limit using a caliper ruler. If
so, change it.
Front standard value: φ . mm
Wearing limit value: φ39.85mm
Rear standard value: φ57mm

Wearing limit value: φ56.6mm
