Change IN
1. Park the vehicle on a flat surface or service bench with the wheels in front of it
2. Switch off the ignition switch Set the transmission at neutral and start the parking brake DI
3. Switch off the master switch of battery
4. Dismount the left and right Column A guard plates (refer to Chapter BW body-interior & exterior

trim-side wall inner shield, replacement”)
5. Lift up the steering wheel adjustment arm to lower the steering wheel down to the lowest position for

dashboard removal
6. Dismount the assembly of steering wheel (refer to “Chapter ST steering system-steering
mechanism-steering wheel, replacement”) AX
7. Remove the instrument cover assembly
a. Pry the fixing fastener of instrument mask assembly with FR
a crow plate.

b. Disconnect the connector of high beam height adjusting
switch and take off the assembly of instrument mask.

8. Remove the instrument cluster assembly (see “Chapter BW Body - Dashboard, Instrument Cluster,
Ashtray – Instrument Cluster, Replacement”)
9. Remove the right guard assembly

a. Remove the right upper armrest trim cap.
b. Remove the right armrest mounting bolts and remove the
right armrest.
