Engine section – Engine (Cummins ISF3.8) EG - 73

Cylinder cover overhaul IN
1. Disconnect the storage battery
2. Discharge the coolant DI

3. Disassemble the driving belt
4. Disassemble the turbocharger EG
5. Dismount the exhaust manifold

6. Disassemble the thermostat housing of the coolant TR
7. Disassemble the bypass pipe of the coolant

8. Disassemble the high-pressure fuel supply pipe of the injector AX
9. Disassemble the intake manifold
10. Disassemble the return pipe FR
11. Disconnect the coolant pipe of the air compressor from the cylinder cover

12. Disassemble the rocker cover ST
13. Disassemble the rocker

14. Disassemble the crossover clamp BR
15. Disassemble the tappet
16. Disassemble the injector BW

17. Disassemble the cylinder cover bolts and remove the
cylinder cover assembly EL
Caution

Cylinder head assembly weight up to 23kg above. To
prevent serious personal injury, an assistant is needed or
use a proper lifting equipment to lift the cylinder head
assembly

18. Remove the gasket of the cylinder cover
