f. Strike out the oil seal and the middle bearing with a
copper rod.

3. Check the rubber spacer
a. Check whether the rubber ring is aged, cracked, worn
or not, and replace if necessary.

4. Check the fit clearance of the middle support
bearing and transmission shaft journal with the use of
the limit

a. If it exceeds the limits, the middle support bearing
should be replaced and measure again when the new
bearing is installed. If the gap is still not meet the
standard, this section of shaft should be repaired or
replaced.
5. Install the drive shaft

a. Apply grease over the outer of the bearing.
b. Install the middle bearing with a copper rod to the
fitting position.
Caution
When installing the bearing, knock on both sides of

the bearing evenly and alternately.

c. Install the oil seal using the oil seal installer.
Caution
• It is not allowed to knock on the oil seal directly with
a hammer. The oil seal should be coated with grease
internally and externally before installation.
• After the oil seal is removed, a new oil seal must be
used.
