f. Adjustment of hub bearing preload

• Turn the hub 2 or 3 turns to eliminate the mounting

clearance of adjustment nut.

• Tighten the adjustment nut of front hub bearing

again with a torque wrench
Torque: 180~220N•m

• Use a torque wrench to rotate reversely the hub bearing

adjustment nut by 30 ° to 45 ° so that its opening pin hole
aligns with the groove on the adjustment nut.

• Turn the hub for 2 to 3 weeks to confirm that the

preload of hub bearing is correct.

• Using a thin string around the hub bolt a week, measure

the starting force of hub bearing with a tensile spring

balance and align the dowel pin holes on shaft with either
notch on the slotted nut.
Starting force of hub bearing: 20 ~ 55N
