AX-76 Axles, Transmission Shafts - Rear Axle

Rear axle semi-axle
Check and repair

1. Disassemble the rear axle shaft
a. Remove the fixing bolts of rear axle shaft.

b. Gently knock on the center of the axle shaft
flange with the hammer to separate the axle shaft from
the hub.

c. Remove the axle shaft from the rear axle.

d. Pry out the oil seal of axle half
Caution
• The removed oil seal must be replaced, may not be
used again.

• The oil seal of axle half may be on the hub end or
affixed to the axle half.

2. Check the axle shaft

a. Flaw inspection shall be performed with the axle shaft,
to check for cracks in the shaft, and replace the shaft if
any.
