 and between your descendants after you E−§ÓþÎìÞÔê «EμÐþÔïö−¶Ñëe  and all those that were born in his household, ·B³−Ñë−¥Ñð−ÌñÐ−-ñÖk³¶ÑêÐî
 throughout their generations as an eternal covenant, ó¢ÖñB¼ ³−¤ÌþÐëÌñó£Ö³Òþ ÞÒðÐñ  and all that he had bought with his money, B fltнÔk³¤ÔòКÌô-ñÖk·³ÑêÐî
 to be a God to you, ó− flÌíGêÞÑñ·EÐñ³B¥−ÐíÌñ  every male member of Avraham’s household, ó¢ÖíÖþÐëÔê³−¤Ña−£ÑLÐòÔêÐaþ–Ö×Öï-ñÖk
 and to your descendants after you. :E−ÞÓþÎìÞÔê £EμÐþÔïÐñÞe  and he circumcised the flesh of their foreskin ó †Ö³ÖñÐþÖ¼þ¤ÔNÐa-³ÓêñÖô‚ÖiÔî
 8. I will give to you, …EÐñ…−¤ÌzÔ³ÞÖòÐî.ì  on that very day íÓflfÔíóB¤iÔí·óÓ®¶Ó¼Ða
 and to your descendants after you, E−‚ÓþÎìÞÔê ¶EμÐþÔïÐñe  as Elohim had said to him. :ó−ÞÌíGÍêB£zÌêþ'ÓaÌcþ§ÓLÎêÞÔk
 the land of your temporary residence, E−†ÓþŠèÐô±Óþ¤Óê|³¤Ñê  Maftir  øéèôî
 all the land of Canaan as an eternal possession, ó¢ÖñB¼ ³£ÔfŠìÎêÞÔñöÔ¼flÔòÐk±Óþ¤Óê-ñÖk³Ñêƒ  24. Avraham was ninety-nine years old í¢ÖòÖL¼ÔL£Ñ³Öîó−'̼ÐLÌz-öÓaó flÖíÖþÐë¶ÔêÐî .ð×

 “And as for you, you must preserve My covenant, þ¢ÒôÐL̳−¤Ì ³−ÌþÐa-³Óêí£ÖzÔêÐî
 you and your descendants after you E−£ÓþÎìÞÔê 'EμÐþÔïÐîí§ÖzÔê  [22] From [above] Avraham. 450  .íÈäÈøÀáÇàìÇòÅî [áë]

 and He would not be revealing tidings concerning him.  :î−ÖñÖ¼BþÐOÔëÐôíÖ−ÖíêGÐî  On the same day that he was commanded,  ,íîÖeԬЮÌpÓL óBiÔëBa
 [7] I will sustain My covenant. 395  .éÄúéÄøÀaúÆàéÄúÉîÄ÷ÂäÇå [æ]  by day and not by night.  ,íÖñÐ−ÔlÔëêGÐî óBiÔa
 And what is this covenant?  ?³−ÌþÐaÔíê−ÌííÔôe  He was not afraid of the idolaters  óÌ−BbÔíöÌôêGêÑþÖ−гÌòêG
 To be a God to you. 396  :ó−ÌíGêÑñEÐñ ³B−ÐíÌñ  or of the scoffers.  ,ó−ÌòÖ®ÑlÔíöÌô LBa êGÐî
 [8] As an eternal possession. 397  .íÈìBò úÇfËçÂàÇì [ç]  And so that his enemies and contemporaries not claim:  :ó−ÌþÐôBê BþBc −ÑòÐëe î−ÖëÐ−Bê e−ÐíÌ−êHÓLÐî
 It is there that I will be a God to you. 398  ,ó−ÌíGêÑñóÓ×ÖñíÓ−ÐíÓêóÖLÐî  “Had we seen him  eíeò−ÌêÐþelÌê
 But, one who resides outside Eretz Yisrael  ±ÓþÖêÖñíÖveìÐaþÖcÔíñÖëÎê  we would not have let him do the circumcision  ñeôÖñ eíeòÐìÔpÌíêG

 The letter î"−î [íÖzÔêÐî] here [denotes]  Bï î"−Öî  This is the ñÔ¼ÐõÌiÔî form. 453  :ñÖ¼ÐõÌiÔî öBLÐñ

 you.” This would be similar to ó−šñêñ ó×ñ ³î−íñ ó−þ®ô ±þêô ó׳ê −³ê®îí þ¾ê “That I have taken you out of Egypt so that  450  The usual expression would be óíþëê ó̼Ñô [from Avraham]. However, it would suggest an equality, therefore,
