       each man according to the interpretation of his dream, B¢ôGÎìöB¤þгÌõÐkL−£Ìê                      “After Elohim has informed you £EгB Þêó−§ÌíGÍêÔ¼−«ÌðBí −¶ÑþÎìÞÔê
            the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, óÌ− flÔþЮÌôCÓñ¤ÓôÐñ·þÓLÎêí†ÓõÒêÞÖíÐîí¤ÓšÐLÔnÔí                 of all this, ³ê¢Òï-ñÖk-³Óê
                   who were imprisoned in the prison. :þÔí ÞÒqÔí³−'ÑëÐaó−£Ìþe½Îêþ'ÓLÎê      there is no one so understanding and wise as you. :EB ÞôÖkó£Ö×ÖìÐîöB'ëÖò-ö−Ñê
                 6. Yoseif came to them in the morning, þÓš¢ÒaÔa¹£Ñ½B− ó§Óí−ÑñÎêê«ÒëÖiÔî.î               40. You shall be over my house, − fl̳−Ña-ñÔ¼í¤Ó−ÐíÌz·íÖzÔê.ô
        and he saw them, and behold they were troubled. :ó−ÞÌõμÞÒïó£ÖpÌíÐîó flÖ³ÒêêÐþ¤ÔiÔî                          and by your word E−£Ìt-ñÔ¼Ðî
                       7. He asked Pharaoh’s officials, í †Ò¼ÐþÔõ−¤Ñ½−Ìþн-³Óêñ„ÔêÐLÌiÔî.ï                    shall all my people be fed. −¢ÌnÔ¼-ñÖkš¤ÔMÌ−
                               who were with him, B«zÌêþ ¶ÓLÎê                                             Only by [virtue of] the throne ê£ÑqÌkÔíš'Ôþ
              under guard in his master’s house, saying, þ¢ÒôêÑñî−£ÖòÒðÎê³−'Ñaþ§ÔôÐLÌôÐë                     will I be greater than you.” :DÞÓnÌôñ'ÔcÐèÓê
                     “Why do you look so bad today?” :óBÞiÔíó−£Ì¼ÖþóÓ×−'ÑòÐtÔ¼e§cÔô                           41. Pharaoh said to Yoseif, ¹¢Ñ½B−-ñÓêí£Ò¼ÐþÔtþÓôê'ÒiÔî .êô
                               8. They said to him, î− flÖñÑêe¤þÐôêÞÒiÔî.ì                            “Behold, I have placed you in charge Eг ÞÒê−Ìz¤Ô³Öò·íÑêÐþ

       “We had a dream, and there is no interpreter of it.” B¢³Òêö−¤Ñêþ£Ñ³Òõe eòÐô flÔñÖìóB¤ñÎì              of the entire land of Egypt.” :óÌ−ÞÖþЮÌô±Óþ'Óê-ñÖkñ£Ô¼
                                Yoseif said to them, ¹†Ñ½B− ó‚ÓíÑñÎêþÓôê¶ÒiÔî

                 “Do not interpretations belong to God. ó−flÌòÒþÐ³Ì t·ó−ÌíGêÞÑñêB¥ñÎí
                                                                                                   [39] There is no one so understanding  ïBáÈðïéÅà [èì]
                            Tell them to me, please.” :−ÞÌñê£Öò-eþÐtÔ½

                         9. The butler told his dream B £ôGÎì-³Óêó−§ÌšÐLÔnÔí-þÔNþ«ÑtÔ½Ð−Ôî.¬  [I.e.,] were we to seek an understanding and wise man  óÖ×ÖìÐî öBëÖòL−ÌêLÑwÔëÐñ
                                       to Yoseif. ¹¢Ñ½B−Ðñ                                                            as you suggested,  ,ÖzÐþÔôÖêÓL
                                   He said to him, B flñþÓôê¤ÒiÔî                                              we will find no one like you.  :EBôÖ×êÖ®ÐôÌòêG
        “In my dream, behold a grape vine was before me. :−ÞÖòÖõÐñöÓõ£Óè-íÑpÌíÐî−–ÌôBñÎìÞÔa                         [40] Shall be fed.  .÷ÇMÄé [î]
             10. On the vine there were three branches, ó¢Ìè−ÌþÞÖNí¤ÖLñÐLöÓõ£ÓbÔëe .−                 [Onkelos translates it] öÔïÐzÌ−—shall be fed.  Z½ÑòÐþÔtгÌ−,öÔïÐzÌ−
                                                                                                                   All my people’s needs  −ÌnÔ¼−Ñ×ÐþÖ®ñÖk
                and as it budded, its blossoms bloomed, d flÖvÌòí¤Ö³ÐñÞÖ¼·³Ôì¶ÔþÒõÐ×êî¥ÌíÐî
                                                                                                            will be provided by your hand,  ,EÓðÖ−ñÔ¼ó−ÌNμÔòe−ÐíÌ−

                                    [Meaning] sad,  ,ó−ÌëѮμ                                                               Throne.  .àÅqÄk
                         as in: “Dejected and sullen,” 130  ,¹Ñ¼ÖïÐîþÔ½ :BôÐk                                 êѽÌk is a term for the kingdom  ,íÖ×eñÐnÔíóÑL öBLÐñ
                [or:] “The displeasure of God I will bear.” 131  :êÖOÓê’í¹Ô¼Ôï                 as in, “He has made his throne [kingdom] greater  BêнÌk³ÓêñÑcÔè−Ìî :BôÐk

                 Long branches that are called wediz in O.F.  :ïÔ¼ÔñÐa ±−"ð−îî ó−ÌþBwÓL ,³BkeþÎê ³BþBôÐï  [41] I have placed you in charge.  .EÀúÉàéÄzÇúÈð [àî]
                               And as it budded. 132  .úÇçÇøÉôÀëàéÄäÀå                     [Onkelos translates it:] CÖ³Ö−−̳−ÑpÔô—I have appointed you.  ,CÖ³Ö−−̳−ÑpÔô
                     [Meaning:] It seemed as if it budded  .³ÔìÔþBõÐñíÓôBc                         Nevertheless, 30  it has the meaning of giving,  ,êeí íÖò−̳Ðò öBLÐñöÑ×−ÌtñÔ¼¹ÔêÐî
                [i.e.,] in my dream it seemed as if it budded.  −ÌôBñÎìÔë−ÌñíÖôÐðÌòZ³ÔìÔþBõÐ×ê−ÌíÐî        as in: “And to make you high.” 31  ,öB−ÐñÓ¼EÐz̳Ðñe :BôÐk
                           [Meaning:] as if it flowered,  ,³ÔìÔþBõ ê−ÌíelÌêÐk                  Whether in reference to raising to a high position  íÖleðÐèÌñö−Ña
                                                                                                        or whether in reference to degrading  ³eñÐõÌLÐñö−Ña
