A courteous, creative initial contact with the customer can go a long way to
promote sales. If a customer has to wait for you say, “I’ll be with you in a
moment.” Such actions will reduce the number of customers who leave without
being served. When you are free to help the waiting customer, your initial
comment should be, “Thank you for waiting.”
