        Electrifying Energy

        By Maggie Ramos

I am not sure I am comfortable with what I am sensing from you today…

We don't know each other well enough just yet.
Although it feels as if we have spent a lifetime and another half together.
You don't know where I've been and I don't know where you are coming from, nor where abouts are we
        headed.

We may just be bumping heads constantly and hurting the both of us more often than not.
We are positive & positive energy without a defined ground and when we do ground, we stand firm on
negative & positive expressing deep sights that only the two of us may not ever understand.

A grounded, deep, electrifying connection burns the two of us without a clear or direct comprehension.
In silence, we hold ourselves from within. It may not be appropriate to share.
It may not be ethical to say. It may just lead us to unwanted expressions, feelings and regrets.

Sometimes I don't know where I stand. Sometimes I don't understand where you stand.
Do we stand against each other or do we stand side by side?

        Missing You

        By Lorraine Preda

She was living his dream, in the suburbs An illusion of love
and marriage Not realizing she had a choice She chose to
stay in an empty, loveless marriage two hearts drifting, both
stagnant One seeking more, the other complacent

        Drinking, drinking, drinking
        Lies, lies, lies
        Denial, denial, denial
        No aha’s until years later

Finally, she emerged, the new you
It was wonderful to see her
Her new self, sparkling, like glitter
As fragrant as fresh cut herbs
        Alive, overjoyed, blossoming with joy
Ah, the fresh smell of freedom - at last

She was found, not in Manhattan but Laguna Beach, feet
in wet sand, grey hair tossed Laughing her strong feminine
laugh Brown eyes a-twinkle with mischief.
