skill I have.” Said Ron smiling. “So, where do we go from here?”

Ron walked to his desk and picked up a sheet.

“Many companies use variations of this Potential-Contribution matrix. But almost all

assess potential subjectively.”

Before Ron could explain further, Dan could not resist a question, “Where do you see me

fit in this Ron?”

“I am sorry Dan. I hope you can understand my inability to answer your question. As I had

requested earlier, I am not speaking to you in official capacity. It is Joe Bird’s prerogative to

give your performance assessment. I can neither intervene nor circumvent it. Besides, this is

not a system that The Global Company is using.”
