GENERAL ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATION

1.2.13 Contractor’s Obligations
The general MEP preambles detailed herein are to be read as supplementary to the main
Contract Conditions. Where conflict arises, the Electrical Contractor is to bring to the
attention of the PM for clarification prior to the submission of his Tender.
The Electrical Contractor is to take due notice of his obligations in this regard and make
allowance within his tender for compliance thereto.
The Electrical Contractor is not to use the site for any purpose other than the Contract
Works.
The Electrical Contractor is to allow for providing the following information following
acceptance of his tender:
1. Detailed programme for design and installation.
2. Detailed labour resource histogram and regular updates throughout the course of
the Contract Works.
3. Monthly progress reports and attendance at site meetings.
4. All builderswork’s information, drawings and schedules required in connection with
the Contract Works.
The Electrical Contractor is to allow for complying with all other conditions and
restrictions as detailed within the Contractor's preliminaries, with particular regard, but
without limitation, to maintenance of services, site cleanliness, maintenance of access
routes, and removal of rubbish.
The Electrical Contractor is to allow for liaison with other Contractors, and artists,
tradesmen and Statutory Authorities.
1.2.14 Special Tools and Accessories
Special tools and accessories required for the proper running and maintenance of the
plant are to be supplied by the Electrical Contractor and handed to the Client.
The Electrical Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining a signed receipt for all
equipment passed to the Client.
1.2.15 Practical Completion
The installations are to only be considered complete when the installations are officially
approved and accepted by the PM.
The installation shall not be deemed complete until:
1. All testing and commissioning as prescribed elsewhere is complete to the
satisfaction of the PM and record of tests has been provided by the Electrical
Contractor. These are to form part of the maintenance manual to be supplied.
2. Spares, tools, equipment etc have been passed to the Client.
