Contract due to such error.
1.2.29 Work In Existing Building/Completed Areas
Suitable protection is to be provided and used by the Electrical Contractor, at his expense,
for covering floor finishes, furniture and equipment, etc. when working in areas requiring
protection.
1.2.30 Manufacturer’s Test Certificates
Manufacturer's Certificates of Tests are to be obtained for all goods, plant and equipment
to be incorporated into the Contract Works.
1.2.31 Electro-Magnetic Compatibility
The project is to be designed and is to comply with the Electromagnetic Compatibility
Directive 89/336/EEC, its subsequent amendments all relevant UK Statutory Directives.
All electrical or electronic equipment supplied by the Electrical Contractor for installation
into the works is to be suitably tested to comply with the above regulations and
documentary evidence is to be provided prior to installation.
Copies of testing/compliance are to be included within the Operating and Maintenance
Manuals. The marking of equipment with "The C.E Mark" is not considered to be
documentary evidence for the purpose of this clause.
Equipment is to meet all requirements of their relevant British or European Standards in
respect of Mains Bourne Disturbance, Emissions and Immunity in respect of
Electromagnetic Interference.
For the purpose of this Specification, electrical or electronic equipment is to be installed
equipment that either generates, provides, transmits, transforms, conducts, distributes,
controls, measures or uses electrical energy.
1.2.32 Contractors Test Certificates
The Electrical Contractor is to in accordance with the testing and commissioning sect ion of
the Tender Specification's forward to the Project Manager certified copies of results
obtained from testing and commissioning.
The Contract works, or sections thereof, should be first tested, commissioned and proved
by the Electrical Contractor prior to offering to the Project Manager for witness testing. A
minimum one days notice should be provided to the Project Manager of all testing and
commissioning requiring witness testing. Testing and commissioning results should be
forwarded to the Project Manager for his information and use prior to site witness
testing.
