                        •   Asbestos or any materials containing asbestos or asbestos based products including, without
                            limitation, blue asbestos, crocodolite, amosite (brown asbestos), chrysotile (white asbestos);
                        •   Aggregates for use in reinforced concrete which do not comply with BS882; 1992 and
                            aggregates for use in concrete which do not comply with BS8110; 1997
                        •   Unwashed sea-dredged or sea-washed aggregates;
                        •   Cementitious particle boards;
                        •   Urea formaldehyde foam;
                        •   Lead based-paint;
                        •   lead or lead products in or on the interior of the building its fixtures and fittings water piping
                            sanitation or drainage
                        •   Urea formaldehyde foam or materials which may release formaldehyde in quantities which may
                            be hazardous with reference to the limits set from time to time by the Health and Safety
                            Executive
                        •   Materials which are generally composed of mineral fibres either manmade or naturally
                            occurring known or believed to have a diameter or three microns or less and a length of two
                            hundred microns or less or which contain any fibres not sealed or otherwise stabilised to
                            ensure that fibre migration is prevented
                        •   Air conditioning systems, refrigerant systems and any other items utilising or containing
                            chlorofluorocarbons
                        •   Radioactive Materials
                        •   Fluoro- and chlorofluoro- polymers (e.g. "Teflon");
                        •   Barium, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury, nickel and their salts;
                        •   Any materials containing heavy metals (e.g. floor surfaces);
                        •   Beryllium alloys;
                        •   Polymethacrylates;
                        •   Arsenic;
                        •   Vermiculate plaster
                        •   Polysicoyanurate foam
                        •   Bitumen coated polythene save that the use of bitumen coated polythene may be permitted
                            for tanking and DPM but express permission must be sought from the Employer
                        •   All tropical rain forest hardwoods
                        •   PTFE fabrics – the only permitted use of PTFE is as a jointing tape in plumbing applications and
                            on specialist applications such as valve seats
                        •   Wall and ceiling lining products and composite cladding products that are either not non-
                            combustible or do not meet the Loss Prevention Standard LPS1181 or which do not meet the
                            Factory Mutual Standard FM4880
                        •   No acoustic insulation or thermal insulation or sound attenuation materials shall be
                            manufactured with any form of animal hair.
                        •   All jointing materials shall be of a type approved by the respective authority.
                        •   Polyurethane or polyisocynate foam
                        •   Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) or similar compounds
                        •   Pentachlorophenol, lindane or tributyltin (TBT) oxide
                        •   Warrant that deleterious materials are not incorporated in the Works.
                        •   Without limiting the generality of the foregoing any substance or materials not in accordance
                            with any relevant British Standards Institution Standards and Codes of Practice or good building
                            practice or which have been declared to be hazardous to health or safety or to the integrity of
                            buildings in a publication of the Building Research Establishment
                        •   Other substances or materials generally known to be deleterious at the time of use
