    SMS(TEXT) NOTIFICATION

The Rowlands SMS (text) service allows you to send a text message,
via ProScript, to your patient to let them know their prescription is
ready to collect from your pharmacy.
A text message should be sent as soon as the medication is ready
to collect and will act as a reminder for patients that they have
    medication to collect.
The SMS service brings benefits to both patients and colleagues as
patients will no longer need to:
    - Telephone the branch to ask, ‘Is my script ready?’

    - Call in ‘I was passing, and wondered if my script was ready’.
    - Call the GP team.
The service also helps with clearing down the retrieval.

    Please ensure that:
    • Every patient is ‘signed up’ to the SMS service

    • You use SMS stickers
    • Where possible a template message is sent.
    • Messages do not contain any patient
       identifiable or personal sensitive data
       (this includes medication details or
       medical conditions) or marketing
information as this is a data breach
       and/or would require written patient
       consent
