about Jesus whipping the devil, spoiling principalities and powers,
making a show of them openly, and triumphing over them.
The problem is they go to their graves
never seeing HOW Jesus did this.
It’s linked to verse 14: by putting an end
to the law by having it crucified!
Paul again says the law has no authority over us, in Galatians
3:24-25: “Wherefore, the law WAS our schoolmaster to bring us to
Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But AFTER faith has
come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.”
Have you come to Christ? If you have, then you should NOT
be living by the law. It was merely an earlier teacher to show us
how much we need Jesus.
Galatians 5:2: “Behold, I Paul say unto you that if you are
circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.” ‘Circumcision’ is one
term for living life in the Old Covenant law, and not in the Spirit of
life in Christ.
He follows this by saying, “For I testify to every man who is
circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Christ has
become of no effect to you.” You are fallen from grace!”
