We think that we fall from grace when we do something
BAD. We either do something so long that God loses patience
with us and we all from his grace — or we commit a sin that is so
bad that we fall from his grace.
This is not true, according to Paul. We fall from grace when
we do something GOOD — and think this has positive impact on
our relationship with Father. We think that he owes us, and we are
entitled to receive from him for doing good. Paul says, “Who has
first given to God, so he shall be recompensed (rewarded) by
him?” The answer is of course: “NO ONE.”
The only thing that has impact on
our relationship with God is Jesus, —
and our faith in HIS finished work!
Ephesians says it’s not about our works
so that none of us can boast.
Looking back at Galatians 5:2-5, I would not think you would
want to stand before God and say, “Father, Christ was of NO profit
or benefit to me — because I lived my life under the law!”
In I Corinthians 15:56 Paul tells us that, “the strength of SIN is
the LAW!” This is why Paul says in Hebrews 7:16 that the law is
the law of a carnal commandment.
The law is directed to the flesh — to our carnality. We all
