ITE/Surbana Jurong Partnership
            Mr James Soh, Executive Director, NYAA Council, saw
            a need to provide further exposure to ITE students in
            the built environment sector. As a result, Mr Eugene
            Seah,  Managing  Director,  Surbana  Technologies
            Pte  Ltd,  Surbana  Jurong  and  Deputy  Chairman,
            NYAA Council, was introduced by Mr Soh to the ITE
            senior  management to  discuss  the proposed  joint

            The  ITE’s  senior  management  team  was  very   team.

            with an opportunity and platform to learn new skills
            and contribute to Singapore’s Smart Cities initiative.
            As  a  result,  many  meetings  were  held  with  the
            leadership of the three mega ITE Colleges to work out
            a detailed plan for the partnership between ITE and
            Surbana Jurong.



            Partnership with Singapore Prison Service
            A close partnership between NYAA and the Singapore
            Prison  Service  was  established  in  2000  by  Deputy   Mr Eugene Seah, Managing Director, Surbana Technologies Pte
                                                              Ltd, with the senior management team and NYAA officials at ITE
            Prime  Minister  and  Minister  for  Home  Affairs  Mr   College West.
            Wong Kan Seng. Since then, many young offenders
            had  the  opportunity  to  participate  in  the  NYAA
            Programme while serving time in prison. As a result,
            many ex-offenders who are NYAA Bronze and Silver
            Award  recipients  have  done  well  and  contributed
            actively to the community.


            Mr Desmond Chin, Commissioner of Prisons, retired
            at  the  end  of  December  2020.  The  NYAA  Council
            hosted an appreciation lunch to thank Commissioner
            Chin for his support for the NYAA Programme. It was
            also an occasion to welcome incoming Commissioner   Appreciation  Plaque  presented  to  Mr  Desmond  Chin,  the
            Shie Yong Lee. NYAA invited Mr John Ting, Chairman   outgoing Commissioner of Prisons for his support for the NYAA
            of  NYAA  Council,  to  present  Commissioner  Chin   Programmes in prisons.
            an  Appreciation  Plaque  signed  by  Deputy  Prime
            Minister  and  Minister  for  Finance  and  Chairman,
            NYAA  Advisory  Board,  Mr  Heng  Swee  Keat.  The
            NYAA Council looks forward to working closely with
            Commissioner Designate Ms Shie Yong Lee when she
            takes over officially in 2021.

            Mr Teo is one of the speakers at the Product Spotlight,
            Singapore  Tech  Forum  2020.  The  SG  Tech  Forum
            is  a  platform  to  showcase  the  role  technology  can
            play to unlock the value of neighbourhoods. People
