Project Super Day
Mr Tommy Koh Kit Shuan, Assistant Director, ASEAN
Division, Ministry of Trade and Industry and an NYAA
Gold Awardee, serves as a youth leader with the Ulu
Pandan Community Club. Tommy initiated a unique
community project in partnership with the food stall
owners at Ghim Moh Market and Food Centre to share
positive messages to uplift residents and patrons of
the food centre during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Project Super Day” is an attempt by the Ulu Pandan
Youth Network volunteers to reimagine community
engagement and spur spontaneous interactions that
are accessible and impactful. This community project
provided an opportunity to bring out the community
spirit by providing a platform for residents and
patrons of the food centre to write messages of Project Super Day organised by Ulu Pandan Youth Network at
Ghim Moh Market and Food Centre.

SERVICE THROUGH THE LENS
NYAA YOUNG PHOTOGRAPHERS’ NETWORK (YPN)
With the growing interest in photography among young people, the National Youth Achievement Award
(NYAA) Young Photographers’ Network was established in 2003 to harness youth interest and skills in
photography and channel these talents to projects benefitting the community. Members of the NYAA Young
Photographers’ Network have contributed significantly to society. The NYAA Council and other agencies
published several works to support activities and projects that promote environmental sustainability and
appreciate historical and cultural issues. Members of the NYAA Young Photographers’ Network continued in
2020 to develop materials for future projects.
