TAMPA POLICE DEPARTMENT’S BLACK HISTORY COMMITTEE AWARDS $10,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS
The Tampa Police Department Black History Committee recently presented $10,000 in scholarships to grad- uating seniors to help them financially as they pursue their educational endeavors. The 2017 award recipients represent both public and private schools in Hillsborough County. Each of the 10 recipients received a $1,000 scholarship. The 2017 award recipients are from left to right: Brianna Blake, Leah Jenkins, Armand Chalk, Lamine Diagne, Gabriella Badmus, Dimitri Pun, Chief Eric Ward, Stephanie Febus, Davis Dees and Janay Jef- ferson.
