(Total 25 members will form the National Council out of whom 5
members will be nominated by the President & remaining elected)
xi. Ex-Officio members: (any two of the following)
a. National President of BS&G
b. Chief National Commissioner BS&G
c. One nominated member by CNC of BS&G with due
consultation with National President - should be non-
professional.
8. TENURE OF OFFICE
The tenure of the General Assembly and National Council shall be
three years or till re-constituted within a period of six months when its
term expires. The tenure of National Council shall be co-terminus with
the term of the General Assembly.
9. VACANCIES
The vacancies caused by death or resignation or expulsion, shall be
filled up by simple majority at a meeting of the National Council called
for the purpose.
10. ELECTIONS
A. i) The National Council shall decide and notify the schedule of
election and shall also appoint a Returning Officer to conduct the
elections. But no such person shall be appointed as Returning
officer who himself is a candidate in the election.
ii) The Election notification should be sent to members at least 60
days in advance of the election date.
iii) The election shall be either by show of hand or by secret ballot.
The mode of voting shall be decided by the General Assembly at
the time of notifying the schedule of election.
iv) Each member of the National Council shall have the right to
exercise single non-transferable vote.
