(a) Constructional features - This feature consists of non
standard constructional features, unsatisfactory party
walls and open areas /spaces surrounded by buildings.
Non standard construction in walls and roofs, wall
openings of any kind (even doors and windows), may
pose exposure hazards and facilitate spread of fire from
a building to other.
A party wall is a good, strong wall, built of specified
incombustible materials of adequate thickness.
The walls that go through the roof are called Perfect
Party Walls whereas the walls that go upto the roof
are called Party Walls. A perfect party wall should not
be of less than 400 mm thickness. The wall has to be
