consider if God will descend and save him. Then we may ascertain and believe
in him. He trusted in God let him preserve him now if he is pleased with him. He
himself said I am God’s Son. Jesus said oh Father forgive them. They disavow
what they are doing.

The Soldiers took his garments and divided them into four parts a part to each of
the four soldiers. The cloak was without seam, woven together. So they said one
to another let us draw straw for it to see whose cloak it will be. That scripture
might be fulfilled which said they divide my garments among them and for my
cloak they drew straw. These issues the soldiers did. Now one of the malefactors
who were crucified with him swearing against him saying if you are the Christ the
chosen one of God deliver yourself and deliver us also. The other malefactor
admonished him and said to him do you not dread even God for you are also
judged. Ours is justified. We are guilty but he is innocent. He said to Jesus
remember me my Lord when you are in your Kingdom. Jesus said to him today
you will be with me in Paradise.
Now standing by the cross of Jesus was his mother; his mother’s sister; and
Mary of Cleopas and Mary of Magdala. When Jesus saw his mother and the
apostle whom he loved standing near he said to the woman, behold your son!
Then he said to the apostle behold your mother! And from that very hour the
apostles went with him.

Now it was after the sixth hour and until the ninth hour the sun was darkened and
darkness fell upon the whole earth. After these things Jesus discerned that
everything was not complete; and that the Word might be fulfilled said I thirst.
Now there was a pitcher full of vinegar mixed with gull nearby. Straightway one of
the soldiers ran and took a cloth and soaked it from the pitcher and put it on a
pointed spear and lifted it to his mouth. The soldier ridiculed him as he offered
the vinegar saying to him if you are the King of the Jews deliver yourself. When
Jesus wetted his mouth from the clothe he said it is complete. About the ninth
hour Jesus proclaimed with a loud voice this is my destiny for this I was born.
Some of the men who were standing by when they heard him said this man has
called for Elijah. They said hush let us see if Elijah will come to save him. Jesus
exclaimed with a loud voice, oh my Father into thy hands I commit my spirit.
When he said this he lowered his head and gave up his spirit into the hands of
God. Straightway the door curtains in the Synagogue at Jerusalem were torn in
