Implementasi Cooperative Learning dalam Pengajaran Bahasa

Abstract
The purpose of this descriptive quantitative studywas to examine (1) the
learning models of cooperative learning which were used by the teachers
in teaching and learning in the classroom and (2) the characteristicsof
cooperative learning in the process applied in teaching and learning by
the teachers of English secondary schools in Jakarta, Indonesia. The data
were taken using a questionnaire to the English teachers who joined PLPG.
Questionnaire data are calculated and analyzed. Based on the research
found, namely the application of the characteristic features of cooperative
learning has been carried out by teachers of English Colleges in Jakarta,
although the frequency was different and cooperative learning models
practiced also varied from 8 models that there was only one which has
been never practiced.

Pendahuluan
A. Latar Belakang Masalah
Pengajaran merupakan bagian penting dalam proses
pembelajaran dalam kelas. Hasil dari pengajaran menjadi salah satu
indikator apakah siswa mencapai tujuan yang ditetapkan atau tidak.
Pengajaran harus ditujukan dalam upaya membentuk siswa yang
tanggap lingkungan dan peka terhadap perubahan serta dalam
bertindak di lingkungannya. Dengan demikian akan tercipta adanya
suatu pola yang dinamis menjadi bagian yang sangat penting dalam
meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan melalui proses pembelajaran di
kelas.
Sekolah menengah pertamaatau yang biasa disingkat SMP
adalah salah satu bentuk satuan pendidikan formal yang
