elevated cholesterol and Diabetes Mellitus screening (3) On Rehabilitation; Every municipality
must have drug rehabilitation facility, with partnership on Hospitals of Eastern Pangasinan. (4)
On restoration of Health; local government in collaboration of the health professionals must
create a program that will provide emotional support to patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis
in the community and they must encourage the creation of supportive groups.
LEVEL OF COMPLIANCE OF THE BENEFICIARIES OF THE PANTAWID
PAMILYANG PILIPINO PROGRAM

This study aimed to determine the level of compliance of the beneficiaries of the
Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program in Villasis, Pangasinan during the second semester of
the academic year 2013-2014 with the use of descriptive survey methods of research and the
questionnaire as data gathering tool. Specifically, this study sought to determined the (a) profile
of the respondents in terms of age, civil status, educational attainment, occupation, monthly
family income, and number of children; (b) the level of compliance of the beneficiaries Pantawid
Pamilyang Pilipino Program in terms of maternal health, child health and nutrition; (30 the
significant difference in the level of compliance of the respondents across their profile variables;
(d) the problems encountered by the beneficiaries along maternal health, child health, and
nutrition, and (e) the proposed measures to improve the compliance of the beneficiaries of the
Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.
The inquiry found out that most of the respondents are middle-aged, married with 4
to 5 children, able to read and write, unemployed, and earning below the poverty threshold.
This study also discovered that the respondents have an above average compliance rate on the
conditionality of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program in terms of maternal health, child
health, and nutrition. Likewise, this investigation determined that the respondents’ maturity,
marital status, academic preparation, type of work, livelihood and family size are source of
variation in their level of compliance of the 4Ps along maternal health, child health and nutrition.
Finally, the findings of this research suggest that the respondents are experiencing serious
difficulties in complying with the conditionality of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program along
health and nutrition.
On account of the findings of this inquiry, the following recommendations are forwarded:
1. Since majority of the respondents are unemployed, the value of entrepreneurship or skills
training should be included in the monthly family development sessions so that the beneficiaries
could engage in other livelihood activities to augment their meager income.
2. A ,ore intensive and continuous health information dissemination program must be implemented
about the details of proper maternal care, child care and nutrition in order to increase further the
compliance rate of the program.
