with them or with anyone else (including
family members) who wants a relationship
with us strictly on their terms and who tries to
control us by controlling the topics of
conversation. Jesus told His disciples in
Matthew 10:14 (which would also apply to
believers in our day), “And whosoever shall
not receive you, nor hear your words, when
ye depart out of that house or city, shake off
the dust of your feet.”
Family unity at any cost?
Sadly, Christians are more concerned
about family unity and having fun together
than they are about a family member’s eternal
soul. Instead of warning wayward Christians
or unsaved family members of the painful
