Chapter 22 Initial Startup Procedure

Pneumatics
Proper Startup of the Saber® system may require you to perform the “Startup Procedure” on
Pneumatics and the Pumping Station simultaneously.

1) Check all pressurized airlines for leaks.
2) Locate Output Card Switches that control the outputs to the Pneumatic Manifold. FLIP all switches to the “ON” position.
Re-check lines for leaks. FLIP all switches of the Output Cards to the “OFF” position.
3) Check for proper valve shifting by locating the Output Card switches that control the Pneumatic Manifold. One at a time,
FLIP them ON and OFF. Confirm that the corresponding valve is shifting.
4) Verify Foam Air Select by disconnecting from Foam Air Select the airline from the Wall Manifold. Flip Foam Air switch to
“ON”. Flip Foam Air switch to “OFF”. Reconnect airline.
5) Verify Hot Water Select by disconnecting airlines from both Pinch Valves. Flip Hot Tank Select switch to “ON”. Flip switch
to “OFF”. Reconnect airlines.
6) Verify Purge Air Select by disconnecting the Purge Air airline from Wall Manifold. Flip Purge Air switch to “ON”. Flip Purge
Air switch to “OFF”. Reconnect airline.
7) Verify High Pressure Select by disconnecting the airline from High Pressure Select Valve. Flip High Pressure Switch to
“ON”. Flip High Pressure Switch to “OFF” Reconnect airline.
8) Verify Low Pressure Deselect by disconnecting the Low Pressure Deselect airline from Low Pressure Deselect Water
Valve. Flip Low Pressure Deselect switch to “ON”. Flip Low Pressure Deselect switch to “OFF”. Reconnect airline.
9) Verify Rocker Blaster Select by disconnecting the airline from Rocker Blaster Valve. Flip Rocker Blaster switch to “ON” .
Flip Rocker Blaster switch to “OFF”. Reconnect airline.
10) Verify that the Triple Foam air select by disconnecting the airline that is connected to the Triple Foam Air Regulator
located on the side of the MCC. Flip the Triple Foam air switch to ON and then back to OFF. Reconnect the airline.
11) Verify that the Foaming Wax air select by disconnecting the airline that is connected to the Foaming Wax Air Regulator
located on the side of the MCC. Flip the Triple Foam air switch to ON and then back to OFF. Reconnect the airline.
Foaming Wax air might not be installed on machine.
