Çré Vraja-réti-cintämaëi

                             namaj-janän majjanato viçuddhän
                               karoti yä kåñëa-hådas tathäpi


               yasya—of which;  asti—there  is;  aho—Oh;  kajjvala-jäta—of  black
               eye cosmetics; jätä—manifested; samantataù—on all sides; sä—that;
               parikha—moat; iva—like; kåñëa—the Yamuna river; namat—offering
               respectful obeisances; janän—persons; majjanataù—by bathing;
               viçuddhäë—purified; karoti—makes; yä—which; kåñëa—Lord Kåñëa;
               hådaù—manifested in the heart; tathäpi—still.

            They who offer respectful obeisances to her or bathe in her waters,
            the Yamunä, which is like a moat of black mascara encircling
            Våndävana, transforms into pure devotees carrying Lord Kåñëa in
            their hearts.

                                paryäpta indévara-mälikeva
                               sasära hära-pratimeva devyaù
                                 våndävanasyäsita-çäöikeva
                                viräjate çré-yamunä nadé sä

               paryäpta—great; indévara—of blue lotus flowers; mälika—garland;
               iva—like; sasära—moves; hära—of a necklace of jewels; devyaù—of the
               goddess; våndavanasya—of Våndävana; asita—blue; çäöika—sash; iva—
               like; viräjate—is splendidly manifested; çré-yamunä—the Yamunä; nadé—
               river; sä—she.
            The Yamunä river is like a blue lotus flower garland, a sapphire
            necklace, or a blue sash worn by the goddess of Våndävana.

                              saptaiva sindhün api sapta lokän
                               saptävåtiù sästi vibhidya çauré
                              vaikuëöha-goloka-gatä bhramanti
                               våndävanaà sevitum älavälam


               sapta—seven; eva—certainly; sidhün—seas; api-and; sapta—seven; loaë
               worlds; sapta—seven; avåtiù—coverings; sä—she; asti—is; vibhidya—
