Wheel alignment
1. Preparation for front wheel positioning data measurement
a. Park the vehicle on a flat road, to ensure that the pressure reaches the required standard.
Front wheel pressure:830kPa
Rear wheel pressure: 830kPa
b. Check the wear of coaxial tires, preliminary
determine whether it is necessary to replace the tire or
perform front wheel alignment.(See Chapter FR Frame,
Suspension and Wheels - Wheels and Tires - Wheel
assembly, Inspection on vehicle)
c. Check if the runout of the rim exceeds the runout
value.
d. Check the front axle to ensure that the axis is
perpendicular to the direction of travel.
2. Check the toe-in of front wheel
Caution
Before checking the toe-in with the vehicle lifted, check
if the steering knuckle, wheel bearings, tire pressure is
normal or loose, and if loose, repair should be carried
out before the toe-in measurement and adjustment.
a. Lift up the vehicle with a jack at the bottom of axle.
Place the safety support under the axle. Descend the
vehicle to make the front wheels horizontally.
