b. Check whether there are wears, cracks and other damages
on the tappet seat, handle and tappet surface.
A Normal contact (increase)
B Irregular contact - do not continue to use

C Irregular contact - do not continue to use

c. Observe whether there is cavitation erosion on the tappet
surface. In the event of the following situations, replace the
tappet.
• The diameter of a single cavitation erosion cannot exceed
2mm.
• Do not allow cavitation erosions to join together.
• The cumulative total diameter of cavitation erosions must
not exceed 6mm or 4% of the surface area of the tappet.
• No cavitation erosion on the wear surface edge of the tappet.
d. Measure the diameter of the vale tappet stem.
Maximum: 15.977mm

Minimum: 15.936mm

e. Check whether the camshaft gear wheel is with abnormal
wear, if any, replace it.

f. Check whether the camshaft bushing is with abnormal
wear, if any, replace it.
