e. Measure and record the diameter of the connecting rod
journal on the crankshaft.

Reduce 0.50mm in dimension

Caution
If the crankshaft connecting rod journal does not
meeting the known technical specification, it must be
re-grounded. Machine the crankshaft to the minimum
specification of targeted minimum dimension bearing.
Then polish the crankshaft and machine it till the
nominal value of bearing. If one axle journal does not
meet the technical specifications, all the axle journals
need to be grounded
Measure the diameter of the hole of the crankshaft of the
connecting rod and calculate the clearance from the
connecting rod to the crankshaft bearing.

Minimum: 0.04mm Maximum: 0.12mm
f. Test the main journal of the crankshaft.

Reduce 0.50mm in dimension

Caution
If the crankshaft connecting rod journal does not

g. Measure the main bearing bore with the bearing and
calculate the clearance between the main bearing and the
crankshaft journal.
