d. Apply a layer of assembly lubricant to the crankshaft side
and thrust bearing surface of the main bearing.

e. Inspect the main bearing cover to ensure that the annular
location pin is installed.

f. Install the crankshaft.
Caution
Install the crankshaft carefully to avoid damaging the
main bearing of the crankshaft, especially the thrust /
main bearing journals. If the crankshaft is damaged, the
service life of the engine will be shortened.
When placing the crankshaft in the cylinder body, it is
necessary to make sure that the front gear of the
crankshaft is engaged with the oil pump gear (if it is not
previously removed).

g. Install the main bearing cover.

h. Check whether the main bearing cap is installed in the
correct position and orientation.
