EG - 102 Engine section – Engine (Cummins ISF3.8)

n. While the installation device of the crankshaft oil seal (4)
is fixed, the wrench shall be used to turn the hex nut
clockwise, until the installation device of the crankshaft oil
seal contacts the front gear chamber cover. Disassemble the
parts of the service tool and check whether the oil seal is
properly engaged. Make sure there is no abnormality.
o. Install the camshaft.

p. Apply a Silicone Loctite ™ 509 or equivalent to the
flywheel installation surface as shown.

q. Install a new gasket between gear chamber and flywheel
housing, install flywheel housing and bolts and tighten
flywheel housing bolts by hand.

r. Tighten the fixing bolts of the flywheel housing in the
order shown.
Torque

M12: 85 N•m
M10: 49 N•m

s. Install two M12×1.25×90mm guide pins onto the
crankshaft flange 180° apart and install two T-handles on
the flywheel (Point 1 and 2).
