k. Remove the interlock steel balls (two) between the
reverse gear fork shaft and the 1st and 2nd gear fork
shaft.

l. Remove the conical hex plug of the reverse gear shift
fork.

m. Remove the reverse gear shift fork shaft and remove
the shift fork and knob in turn.
Caution

Gently push out from inside to outside when taking
out the fork shaft and push out the plug.

n. Remove the fixing nut of the 5th and 6th gear shift
conversion mechanism, and remove the 5th and 6th gear
shift conversion mechanism.
Caution

When removing the nut, use a tool to push on the
other end of the bolt for easy removal.

5. Check the components

a. Check the free length of the self-locking spring.
Standard value: 34mm
Limit: 31mm
