AX-58 Axles, Transmission Shafts - Rear Axle

Breakdown and assemble
1. Remove the rear axle final reducer assembly

a. Remove the fixing bolts of differential bearing cover.
b. Remove the bolt and locking tab.

c. Make assembly marks on one side of the differential
bearing cover and the final reducer housing.
Caution
Due to there is no obvious distinction marks for the
left and the right differential bearing cover, but their
threads are different, the left and the right bearing

cover must be marked before disassembly.

d. Remove the two gland bolts on the differential bearing
cover.

e. Lift the differential bearing cover with both hands on
both ends and lift it up vertically to remove the
differential bearing cover.

f. Check the thread damage of differential bearing
cover which should not exceed three teeth, and for
excessive damage, the final reducer housing must be
replaced.
g. Remove and inspect the differential bearing cover on
the other side of the differential assembly as described
above.

h. Remove the adjustment nut of differential and make assembly mark on the adjustment nut.
Caution

Due to there is no obvious distinction marks for the left and the right adjustment nut, but their threads
are different, distinction marks must be made before disassembly.
