 and he built Nineveh, Rechovos Iyr þ−£Ì¼³'ÒëÒìÐþ-³ÓêÐîíflÑîÐò−¤Ìò-³Óê·öÓë¶ÌiÔî  the name of one was Peleg, èÓñ†Ótð„ÖìÓêÞÖíó¤ÑL
 and Kalach. :ìÔñÞÖk-³ÓêÐî  for in his days the earth[’s inhabitants] were dispersed, ±Óþ flÖêÖíí¤ÖèÐñÐõÌò·î−ÖôÖ−Ðë−¥Ìk
 12. [He also built] Resen between Nineveh and Kalach. ìÔñ¢Ökö−¤Ñëe í£ÑîÐò−ÞÌòö−'ÑaöÓ½–Óþ-³ÓêÐî .ë−  and his brothers name was Yaktan. :öÞ֬КÖ−î−£ÌìÖêó'ÑLÐî

           We may learn [from this] that Eiver was a prophet  ,ê−ÌëÖòþÓëѼíÖ−ÖíÓL ,eòÐðÔôÖñ

 He ensnared the minds of people with his words  ,î−ÌõÐa ³BiÌþÐañÓLöÖzмÔcðÖ®
           for [an event that would happen in] the future. 283  .ð−ּ̳ÓíóÑLñÔ¼
 and misled them to rebel against God. 263  :óBšÖnÔa ðBþÐôÌñöּЬÔôe
      [In support of this view] we have learned in Seder Olam 284  óÖñB¼ þÓðѽÐa eò−ÌòÖLÐî
 Before Adonoy.  .'ä éÅðÀôÄì
               that it was towards the end of his [Eiver’s] life  î−ÖôÖ− ¹B½ÐaÓL

 [About such a person] it is said,  :þÔôÖêÑ−  as it is written “Yokton produced, etc.” 287  ’îèî ðÔñÖ−ö֬КÖ−ÐîþÔôÍêÓpÓL
 “This one is like Nimrod, a mighty hunter.”  :ðÌ−Ö® þBaÌb ðBþÐôÌòÐkíÓï  [Only] afterward [does it state:]  CÔkþÔìÔêÐî

 As soon as Asshur saw that his children  î−ÖòÖa³Óê þeMÔêíÖêÖþÓLöÖî−Ñk  And if you will claim  þÔôêÒzóÌêÐî
 were obeying Nimrod and rebelling against God  óBšÖnÔaö−ÌðÐþBôe ðBþÐôÌòÐñö−̼ÐôBL  that [the dispersion took place] in his mid-life,  ,î−ÖôÖ−¼Ô®ÐôÓêÐa
 by building the Tower [of Bavel],  ,ñÖcÐèÌnÔí ³BòÐëÌñ  [then I would counter:] Scripture does not come  ëe³ÖkÔíêÖëêG
