                               that I dug this well.” :³êÞÒfÔíþ'ÑêÐaÔí-³Óê−ÌzÐþ£ÔõÖì−'Ìk          7. Yitzchok spoke to Avraham, his father, ·î−ÌëÖêó¥ÖíÖþÐëÔê-ñÓêš‚ÖìЮÌ−þÓôê¶ÕiÔî.ï
                     31. Therefore he called that place êe£íÔíóB'šÖnÔñê§ÖþÖšö†Ñk-ñÔ¼ .êñ                            and said, “Father,” − flÌëÖêþÓôê¤ÒiÔî
                                     Beer Sheva, ¼Ôë¢ÖLþ¤ÑêÐa                                  and he [Avraham] said, “Here I am, my son.” −¢ÌòÐë−Ìp¤ÓpÌíþÓôê£ÒiÔî
                 since the two had made an oath there. :óÞÓí−ÑòÐLe£¼ÐaÐLÌòó'ÖL−§Ìk                 He said, “Here are the fire and the wood, ó− fl̮Ѽ¤ÖíÐî·LÑêÖíí¥ÑpÌíþÓôê†ÕiÔî
               32. They made a covenant in Beer Sheva. ¼Ôë¢ÖLþ¤ÑêÐëÌa³−£ÌþÐëe'³ÐþÐ×ÌiÔî .ëñ   but where is the lamb for the burnt-offering?” :íÞÖñÒ¼Ðñí£ÓOÔíí'ÑiÔêÐî
            Avimelech, and Pichol, his general, then rose B flêÖëЮ-þÔN·ñÒ×−Ìõe CÓñ †Óô−ÌëÎêóÖš¤ÖiÔî                  8. Avraham said, ó flÖíÖþÐëÔê·þÓôê¶ÕiÔî.ì
              and returned to the land of the Philistines. :ó−ÞÌzÐLÌñÐt±Óþ'Óê-ñÓêe룊LÖiÔî                  “Elohim will show the lamb í§ÓOÔíB'l-íÓêÐþÌ−ó−„ÌíGÍê
       33. Avraham planted an eishel [tree] in Beer Sheva, ¼Ôë¢ÖLþ¤ÑêÐëÌañÓL£Ñê¼'ÔhÌiÔî .èñ                for a burnt-offering, my son.” −¢ÌòÐaí£ÖñÒ¼Ðñ
             and there he proclaimed the Name Adonoy, í£ÖBíÐ−ó'ÑLÐaó flÖL-êÖþК¶ÌiÔî                   And the two of them went together. :îÞÖcÐìÔ−ó£Óí−ÑòÐLe'×ÐñÞÑiÔî
                                                                                                              9. They came to the place ‡óBšÖnÔí-ñÓêeê†ÒëÖiÔî.¬

                               That I dug this well.  .øÅàÀaÇä-úÆàéÄzÀøÇôÈçéÄk                             Avraham built the altar there, Ôì flÑaÐïÌnÔí-³Óê·óÖíÖþÐëÔêó¥ÖLöÓë¶ÌiÔî
            Avimelech’s shepherds argued about it [the well]  CÓñÓô−ÌëÎê−ѼBþ Öí−ÓñÖ¼e−Öíó−Ìë−ÌþÐô             and arranged the wood. ó−¢Ì®Ñ¼ÞÖí-³ÓêC£ÒþμÞÔiÔî
                               claiming, “We dug it.”  ;ÖíeòÐþÔõÎìeòÐìÔòÎê :ó−ÌþÐôBêÐî                       He bound his son Yitzchok, BflòÐaš¤ÖìЮÌ−-³Óê·ðҚμÞÔiÔî
                        They agreed among themselves  :óÓí−Ñò−ÑëeþÐôÖê                       and placed him on the altar, on top of the wood. :ó−Þ̮ѼÞÖññÔ¼£ÔnÌôÔì flÑaÐïÌnÔí-ñÔ¼ ¶B³ÒêóÓN¥ÖiÔî
                        that whoever appears at the well  þÑêÐaÔíñÔ¼íÓêÖþгÌiÓL−ÌôñÖk
                     and the waters will rise towards him  ,B³êÖþКÌñóÌiÔnÔíeñμÔ−Ðî                     10. Avraham extended his hand B flðÖ−-³Óê·óÖíÖþÐëÔêì¥ÔñÐLÌiÔî.−
                              then it [the well] is his.  ,ê−ÌíBlÓL                                                 and took the knife ³Óñ¢Ó×ÎêÞÔnÔí-³Óêì £ÔwÌiÔî
            And they [the waters] rose towards Avraham. 400  :óÖíÖþÐëÔê³êÔþКÌñeñÖ¼Ðî                             to slaughter his son. :BÞòÐa-³ÓꬣÒìÐLÌñ

                    and the other one says a guest-house.  êÖ−ÐòÔ½Ð×ÔêÐñšÖcÐòet :þÔôÖêðÔìÐî  Meaning: He will see and choose for Himself a lamb.  ,íÓOÔíBñþÔìÐëÌ−ÐîíÓêÐþÌ−þÔôBñÐk
                                                                                                             If there will be no lamb [then]  ,íÓNö−ÑêóÌêÐî
                   which contained various kinds of fruit.  .³Bþ−Ñõ−Ñò−ÌôñÖk Bëe
                   We find the term íÖ¼−̬Ðò applied to tents,  ó−ÌñÖíÒêÐëíÖ¼−̬Ðò öBLÐñ eò−Ì®Öôe              my son will be the offering.  !−ÌòÐaíÖñB¼Ðñ
                                       as it is said,  :þÔôÍêÓpÓL                                   And although Yitzchok [now] understood  ,šÖìЮÌ−ö−ÌëÑíÓL−ÌtñÔ¼¹ÔêÐî
                  “He will plant the tents of his palace.” 401  :BòÐðÔtÔê−ÑñÏíÖê¼ÔhÌiÔî                  that he was going to be slaughtered  ,¬ÑìÖMÌíÐñCÑñBí êeíÓL
                                                                                                    [nevertheless,] “They both went together”  î−ÖðÐìÔ−óÓí−ÑòÐL e×ÐñÑiÔî

                           [I.e.,] by means of that eishel  ñÓLÑê B³Bê −ÑðÐ−ñÔ¼

                the Name of the Holy One was called “God”  Ô dBñÍêí"ÖaÖwÔíñÓLBôÐLêÖþКÌò

              he [Avraham] would tell them, “Bless the One  −ÌôÐñe×ÎþÖa:óÓíÖñþÑôBê
                                                                                             because their [the goats] ankles were streaked white  ;ó−ÌòÖëÐñóÓí−Ñle½ÐþÔše−ÖíÓL
                       from Whose food you have eaten.  .BlÓMÌôóÓzÐñÔ×ÎêÓL
                You may think that you have eaten my food,  ?óÓzÐñÔ×Îê−ÌlÓLÌnÓL,óÓzÔêó−Ìþeëн         so that the place where they are bound  ,Ba öÖ³Bê ö−ÌðКB¼ÓL óBšÖô
