Kazova Workers Visited The Beltas Workers

On Thursday 7 November 2013, the 37th day of their resist-
ance, the people who had been occupying the CHP Besiktas dis-
trict office witnessed an excellent model of conduct. The Kazova

workers, who had created a first when it came to occupying and
resistance production, turned up with banners and slogans to
show solidarity. In front of the CHP district building they chanted
the slogan “BELTAS workers are not alone, we will win by resist-
ing, we are workers, we are right, we will win”, and in this way the
Kazova workers were drawing attention to the subcontracting sys-
tem at BELTAS and the hunger strike under way at Genel-Is. After
the press statement, they went into the building and embraced
the BELTAS workers who are in resistance. In conversation they

passed on their own experiences in resistance. Then they opened
the banner they had brought with them with the inscription “We
greet the BELTAS workers who are resisting for the right to organ-
ise, the Resisting Kazova Workers’ Council”. They suspended it
from the CHP district building and then said their farewells.

Cartographical And Land Registry Engineers Chamber’s
Young Engineers Visit The Kazova Engineers

The young engineers’ commission of the Cartographical And
Land Registry Engineers Chamber visited the Kazova workers on
Friday 8 November 2013. The young engineers had a warm con-
versation with the resisters and they warmed up the resistance tent
and imparted to it some of their energy.

After the conversation the young engineers and the workers
played the saz and danced the halay. It was an excellent example
