of class solidarity.
The Kazova Workers Resisted And Won!
The Kazova workers celebrated their victories on the evening
of Tuesday 19 November 2013 and packed up their tents
In the resistance from 28 February to today, the Kazova textile
workers confiscated all machines in the factory and belonging to
their bosses the Somuncu family. They began preparations to form
a cooperative with the machines they had confiscated. Henceforth
they would make cheap and good-quality sweaters for the people.
They would make them for aid and solidarity to workers whose
resistance they knew about, for the people and for others in resist-
ance. The Kazova workers will produce and rule themselves. Up
to the present the ruling class has sought to burn into our brains
the idea that “you are rabble, you cannot rule, ruling is the work
of the elite”, but these thoughts are being smashed to smithereens.
The rabble is in charge. The Kazova workers won. They celebrated
their victory on the evening of Tuesday, 19 November 2013 and
removed their tents. Now the form of resistance has changed.
The Kazova workers started to celebrate victory at half seven
in Sisli square. About three hundred people gathered and started
to march towards the Kazova factory. On the way they chanted,
”We are workers, we are right, we will win, long live resistance,
long live victory, long live revolutionary solidarity, Resist, Berkin,
Kazova is with you, We are the ones who produce, we will also be
the ones who rule, long live the Revolutionary Workers’ Move-
ment (DIH)”. They were greeted enthusiastically when they came
to the factory.
