Noah’s wife and the daughters-in-law could prepare the food.

Crowds could be mocking the family.

            4. Stress that each person in the family was working according to their gifting. They
followed God’s instructions. Could Noah have done everything himself?

            5. Sing ‘This is the way we build the ark’.

            6. Let the children share times when their family has worked together, eg preparing for
holidays, preparing a meal, cleaning the house, gardening. Encourage them to look for

               ways to serve their family.

Talk about jobs the children have to do at home and/or in school. Remind the children
of ways in which Jesus served others in praying for them, washing their feet, feeding
them, etc. Jesus was a servant and wants us to serve others too, particularly in our

               families.

Remind the children that God’s wider family can work together in the Kingdom.

            7. Let the children complete the worksheet or they may like to serve by clearing an area
of the school or the grounds.

        Learning for Life (Fulfilment)

            1. The children should be more familiar with the story of Noah.

            2. They should see the importance of working together to lighten the load for everyone.

            3. It is hoped that they will be more proactive in serving in their family and in school.
