L. ADAPTERS - HOSE TO SNAP CLOSE VALVE REF DWG: TDS1435

NOTES:
1. Adapters for snap close valves fit either 1.5" hose or 2.0" hose, and respectively plug into the stan-
dard snap close valve, Part # 20782, which has a 2" inlet and connects to piping with its 2.0" NPTM thread
on the other end of its body.

2. Use of these adapters and the snap close valves is limited to lighter duty applications where stain-
less steel is not required. These adapters are stainless steel for durability reasons, but the snap close
valves are carbon steel plated.

3. These adapters and their related snap close valve are commonly used in multiple outlet central
vacuum system pipelines. They are not normally applied in straight conveyor systems. A preferred solution
for these is the Camlock style coupling which is much more rugged.

L. SNAP CLOSURE VALVES

NOTES
These valves have a spring-loaded cover, accept a 2" tubular adapter end and secure to piping with a 2"
NPTM threaded connection. They are not available stainless steel. Their most common use is at the end of
multiple pickup points in material recovery system pipelines. For most conveying applications, the Camlock
male adapter with dust cap and its matching hose shank coupler are a better choice than this snap close
valve.
