Religiosity
Job Insecurity Work Stress
Picture 1. Conceptual Research Framework
This research uses three variables, there are dependent variable,
indepenent variable and moderator variable. Which are work stress as dependent
variable, job insecurity as independent variable, while religiosity as moderator
variable. Moderator variables according to Urbayatun and Widhiharso (2012)
determine the strenght of the role of independent variable to the dependent
variable. Mechanism of the relationship between variables in this study is the
role of job insecurity on work stress depends on religiosity of the individuals. If
the individual has a high religiosity then the role of job insecurity will be
reduced. Safaria (2011) stated that religious coping could take a role as the
moderator of job insecurity to work stress. Thus, based on that explanation which
has been described, this research aims to examine the role of religiosity as the a
moderator in relationship between job insecurity and work stress on forestry
sector employees.

corporation, especially forest rangers and foremen who are placed in the field
with a minimum 2 (two) years working period, with assumption that the
employees in this field have greater job preassures.
Data collection was done by using psychological scale as the tools to
measure the variables. The used scales are job insecurity scale, the work stress
