RECEPTION FOR MLK DAY OF SERVICE RECIPIENTS
Through a grant project spearheaded by State Senator Darryl Rouson through the Florida Legislature, residents in the Tampa/St. Petersburg community have been able to do more than take the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday as a ‘Day Off.’ The motto of the MLK Day of Service is, ‘A Day On, Not A Day Off.’ Hillsborough Community College (HCC) and St. Petersburg College (SPC) have partnered to oversee service projects in both communities. On Thursday, February 22, 2018, a reception was held in the Ybor Room at HCC Ybor for the many organizations and individuals in Tampa that participated in service projects. Dr. Samuel L.
