Who’s On First?
By William NiemaN
Bud Abbott and Lou Costello performed what is considered to be the best wordplay sketch in comedic history. It was called “Who’s on First,” and although ostensibly about the puzzling names of players on a baseball team, it was really an exercise in the humor of confusion. The sketch was very funny. The fol- lowing true story is also about confusion, but it is not funny. It is concerning. For some, it evokes embarrassment, fear, and sadness.
The “Story”
I had been interviewing Juan in a fine Mexican restaurant* located in New Hampshire. He had emigrated from Mexico with the dream to one day run his own restaurant. Being the manager of the restaurant we used for our visit suggested he was moving towards the fulfillment of that

Fundraising for the Robbins Family
By DoNNa RhoDes
BRISTOL—When a fire broke out at the Robbins’ family home on Prospect Street in Bris- tol on April 4, fundraising ef- forts were already underway as firefighters continued to battle the blaze. Josh and Katie Rob- bins are well-known and loved in the community, and that love has shown in the days following their loss.
Katie is the co-owner of A Newfound Spa on Lake Street, and it was her business partner, Stacie Barnard, and friend Ra- chel Frazier who got the ball rolling to assist their friends. The two were soon joined in their efforts by other businesses, friends, community members, and even strangers who also wanted to help.
Stacie and Rachel imme- diately reached out to people through social media to let them know a GoFundMe page had already been established that night with a goal of $35,000 set.

nity to help this family navigate this difficult time...A Newfound Spa has a very heavy heart to- night,” Stacie wrote on their website that fateful evening.
It is no surprise that people heeded the call. As of this past Monday, 279 donations had been received already through GoFundMe, totaling over
$30,600, while still more peo- ple dropped off cash donations in person at Katie and Stacie’s business, too.
