‘ANNUAL CUDDLE UP AND READ’ PROGRAM HELD
On Saturday, April 14th, Ms. Cora Dunkley held her 5th Annual “Cuddle Up And Read” Program. The well attended event was held at Seminole Heights Library, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Several families and volunteers were on hand to motivate children to read every- day. The children participated in several activities that involved reading and learned about Dr. George Washington Carver, who was the focal point of the event. Each child received a new book at the end of the event. Ms. Dunkley was assisted by Ms. Maxine Davis in mak- ing the program possible. Among those in attendance from left to right are: Diane Conde, who is the current reigning “Mrs. Florida,” Patricia Seales, Dr. Rosemary Swoopes, Reverend Janet Lee, and Anita Lemon.
